]]> contact.gibsib@gmail.com Event Registration and Information PYP - Inquiry at the Rubin Museum of Art, New York This professional development workshop will offer teachers of all levels and subjects the opportunity to consider the role of object-­‐based learning in their own practice, explore museum education engagement strategies using the Rubin's unparalleled collection of Himalayan art, and refine transferable skills that can be applied in the classroom. We will focus on teaching methodologies such as inquiry, storytelling, and physical embodiment, address important curricular connections for social studies, visual arts, and math, and consider how Buddhist and Hindu art can connect to and enhance these teaching goals. The program will also include hands-­‐on activities that foster 21st Century skills such as critical thinking, visual literacy, and collaboration.
